Hope that your day was as creepy and spooky yesterday as ours. Harry loved the trick-or-treating, but the coming home and taking a bath? Not so much. And as you can see, being a princess is hard work! Now maybe we can all put our feet up and chillax… well, some of us. There is the pan de muerto to bake today.
Huge congrats to Barbara of the Moveable Feasts blog who is the winner of The Good Home Cookbook. Cannot wait to see what she cooks up for us on her blog.

Cate, I just saw your comment over at Lecia's, and came to check out your pan de muerto. We also have a delicious "pan dei morti" in Italy, with chestnut flour, nuts etc It's probably the only one sweet I really like, after lemon granita:) Happy baking!

The children are beautiful! Thanks for the reminder to bake pan de muerto. I'll give it a try, albeit a few days late.

amazing costumes! oh and i haven't thought of (in my lexicon) pain de mort – I remember my mum making it when we were little, and the house smelling like oranges…

And thank you again for the cookbook! Cannot believe I won anything!
