December Evenings

09 December 2009 Filed In: corner view

With the new ice skating rink just having opened up in Battery Park City, we have developed a little evening addiction.

Santa, if you are reading this and we haven’t been too naughty, we’re dreaming of matching silver ice skates with pink pom-poms please. Pretty please?
How are you spending your evenings this season? Take a look at what others are doing around the world:

Brings back memories. Growing up we had a pond across the street that we spent so much time skating on. There were large trees growing in the middle of the pond that we could climb in the summers, it was magic.

Ice skating must be the real reason why temperatures drop below zero. I'm sure Santa was reading this.

Wouldn't it be great if this was at my house, but know my husband is to environmentally friendly and thrifty to have such a gorgeous display. It is at a local church.

    Beautiful enchanted evenings!
Love your photo series, that blue light; speaking of reading, feels like it could illustrate a childrens story.
I do hope those skates with the pompoms arrive on Christmas a.m.
