This Moment: Lunch in the East Village with Aunt Sheri

08 April 2011 Filed In: all the rest, this moment, Uncategorized

Hitching onto the Soule Train.  But with a few words since, well, there has been a lot of silence this week.

These past two weeks have been very quiet here, and I am sorry about the lack of posts.  My energy has been going to the last little stretch of growing our baby and taking care of all the emotions and all of the practical tasks of bringing a new son or daughter, a new brother or sister, into our family.  We are all incredibly excited about the baby, but we are also having some moments of anxiety over how it is going to be to have this new little person with us.  This mama has had to run a lot of damage control and give extra care and attention to the Big Sister and Big Brother.  Extra stories have to be read.  Extra snuggles and hugs need to be given, and extra time scheduled to let things fall apart a bit, too.

Thank Goodness for time with Aunt Sheri!  Being an auntie is really the best thing!  You just get to love and be loved without a lot of the drama involved in parenting a child.  It was a ray of sunshine on a very dark day to get to go up to the East Village with Liev and have lunch with my sister-in-law.

Have an amazing weekend, Yummies!

Sheri looks like a wonderful Aunty. I love the smiles. Sounds like you are doing a beautiful job, leading up to the birth of your babe. Take care of yourself and have a lovely weekend. Here is our moment: http://www.embracingitall.com/?p=716

I am sure it will all go much better than you think. My boys who were 8 and 5 at the time of Roman being born were so excited to have him in our family. They loved all over him and still do! Hope all goes well with the birth and that it is an easy one.

There is no pressure in the blogosphere. If you feel like posting, you do, if not, it’s OK too. If there are comments, read them enjoy them, but don’t feel pressured to reply. (That’s my little philosophical speech for the day.)

I think you did good by giving extra care to the little ones and allowing for spare time as well.

Your pace will pick up again in no time. You’ll see.

    Have a lovely weekend!
