Postcards: Judy Stevens

13 July 2011 Filed In: all the rest, corner view, tribeca

Our favorite preschool teacher and friend, Judy Stevens, has made a new website, Postcards by Judy Stevens, showing off her lovely, funny, and cheeky postcard art.  Being around two year olds most of the time must have affected the way she sees the world because she uses sticker and childhood imagery unique in a way that shows many levels.  Three of my faves are above, but go check out the whole slideshow.

these are lovely, funny and cheeky. pretty awesome.
and to answer your question – i’m doing okay. I don’t really enjoy this part of the moving process – sorting, cleaning and purging….but I’m keeping my eye on the bigger picture, we’ll get there!
    thanks for asking.

What beautiful postcards! And better if they are from a friend!
It is not switcheland, it is just 1 1/2h from home, in the north of spain near french frontier. Pictures are from both sides of the border…so beautiful places, full of peace…sometimes there are secret and beautiful places just round the corner.
    Enjoy summer days.

An intriguing idea and an awesome way to deal with illness and subsequent death(I read the background about the creation of the postcards).
Thanks for sharing with us. This was a lovely and unique concept for this topic. :>)

I love them, LOVE them! Really, the child imagery combined with traditional postcard imagery, the colors intertwining. Wonderful!
